A delivery driver built the platform he wished existed.
HasDelivery grew from Hassan Ali's experience rejecting deliveries that conflicted with his faith and seeing how that affected his ability to earn.
HasDelivery is a halal food marketplace and delivery network founded in Oregon by Hassan Ali, a former delivery driver who wanted Muslim drivers to be able to earn without having to choose between accepting an order and following their faith.
Hassan first worked as a delivery driver in the UK, where orders for alcohol and non-halal products created a recurring problem: reject the order and risk earning less, or accept work that conflicted with his values.
After moving to the United States, he encountered the same problem again. HasDelivery was built around a simple idea: a delivery network where the merchants are dedicated halal businesses, customers can discover halal options in one place, and drivers can work without that conflict.
The company is starting in the Portland metro and is being built in public as the merchant, customer and driver network grows.

The network is designed to bring local halal restaurants, grocers, butchers, bakeries, cafés and caterers into one delivery experience.
HasDelivery separates its service fee from driver compensation. Drivers receive the delivery fee for completed deliveries and keep 100% of tips.
HasDelivery is being built as infrastructure connecting halal businesses, customers and drivers — beginning in Oregon.
Hassan Ali is the founder of HasDelivery. His experience working for delivery platforms in both the UK and United States shaped the idea behind the company. He is building HasDelivery around three groups: halal businesses that need stronger local delivery infrastructure, customers who want easier access to halal food, and drivers who want work that aligns with their values.
